Program Description

The low voltage apprenticeship program is registered with the US DOL.  The program is designed to give students the experience and training necessary to earn the status of Low Voltage Technician.  Apprentices will study basic telephone/cable termination,  audio visual systems,  communication systems,  sound and public address systems,  programmable and controlling instrumentation,  structured wiring systems,  fire alarms,  as well as other specialized control systems such as HVAC,  medical,  boiler,  and structured wiring systems.  Low voltage work includes projects with less than 100 volts.

Requirements or Restrictions

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid ID
  • Provide GED or high school transcripts
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Consent to drug testing
